2007 - A Feast of Musical Contrasts

In September 2007 The ETGZ put on a music revue with a difference. A Feast of Musical Contrasts was performed in the Lorzensaal in Cham. After the success of their cooperation last year for Guys and Dolls, the English Theatre Group of Zug and the Big Band Zug joined forces to provide an evening of entertainment. The evening included a three course meal and music of varying contrasts.

The first block of entertainment showed a variety of nature’s contrasts: sun and rain, night and day, sea and sky etc. The songs included popular numbers such as Singin’ in the Rain, Fly Me to the Moon, Over the Rainbow and What a Wonderful World. The theme of contrasts continues in the second act. Contrast in style (swing and salsa), contrast in lyrical content (good and bad), or the simple contrast of man and woman! The numbers include medleys from Blood Brothers and Jekyll & Hyde, the classic swing of It Don’t Mean a Thing and a Zuger salsa composition.

A three course meal was served during the show, which was performed 3 times to great audiences.
