Our Group

The English Theatre Group of Zug (ETGZ) was founded in 1986 and has since become a well-known theatre and musical group in and around Zug. The ETGZ has staged over 50 performances of various types: classic musicals including Chicago, Oklahoma, Kiss me Kate, Oliver and Chess, British pantomimes such as Cinderella, Mother Goose, Aladdin and Snow White, and smaller off-Broadway musicals such as Inside Out, Snoopy and Honk! The ETGZ has also staged several successful plays, including the Art of Dining, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Importance of Being Earnest, Black Comedy, and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!

The ETGZ is a non-profit association of amateur performers and supporters. Our productions are financed through ticket revenues, sponsorships and donations from individuals and corporations. Membership fees are used to cover the Group’s running costs, while net proceeds from productions are used to finance future productions.
